Living in Central London can be delightful. Everything is close to hand, with a large selection of attractions often right on your doorstep!! There's an excellent choice of shopping in most neighbourhoods, and there's no need to allow lots of time for the commute. There are some negatives though - it can be hideously expensive, there's constant background noise even at night, and if you have young children, its hard to find a property with secure outside space where they can play unsupervised. If you're working in Central London, then try and see if you CAN afford to live there. The daily commute into London from the suburbs is both tiring and unattractive, and if you can avoid it, you'll enjoy life far more. If you're working out of town, but have no young children, then reverse commuting is an option that many enjoy. If you're thinking of doing this, then go for a location that gives you easy access to a fast route out of town. Our location guides try not to pull any punches!! We hope that you'll enjoy reading them. For ease of reference, area information is split geographically, as follows:
If schools are an issue for you, please review our Education Information.
