Téléphones Publics
Une grande part de téléphones en GB est localisée dans les cabines téléphoniques rouges traditionnelles. La plupart des téléphones prépayés en GB est gérée par British Telecom (BT). On peut utiliser les pièces de monnaie (dans les cabines téléphoniques de BT), les cartes téléphoniques e les cartes de crédit. Les téléphones publics sont disponibles dans toutes les villes de Grand Bretagne.
Les cartes téléphoniques BT (£3, £5, £10 ou £20) sont disponibles aux magasins BT, aux bureaux de poste, aux agences de presse etc. Le numéro pour tous les urgences (Police, Pompiers, Ambulances) est 999, et est gratuit de tous les téléphones publics. Le numéro de téléphone européen pour Urgences 112 fonctionne en GB également.

Magasins
Il n'y a pas des pauses du déjeuner dans les magasins en Angleterre. La plupart des magasins est ouverte 7 jours à la semaine. Quelques grands supermarchés sont ouverts 24 heures sur 24 (Tesco, ASDA, etc).
Dans quelques agences de presse de Londres vous pouvez
acheter des journaux français.
