Our long experience as a Home Search specialist has confirmed our view that each and every move has different requirements. Some families have school-age children and need to spend quite some time looking at schools before considering their housing options. Some individuals prefer to spend time on general orientation; others just want to get their house hunting done as quickly as possible. In developing and refining our relocation programmes, we felt the need to emphasise both our flexibility, and our ability to cope with unusual requirements. We therefore offer a number of home search programmes each of different length. Within the overall time allowed for the programme, the transferee can vary the mix of "service elements" to produce their own individual relocation programme. This approach offers flexibility, and encourages full use of our skills, and yet provides an effective control of overall relocation cost.

How We Operate

Home Search programmes in the South East are run from our Buckinghamshire headquarters. Programmes in other UK areas operate from regional offices, whilst international searches are quite naturally based in the target city. Our counsellors have all successfully completed an initial twelve month training programme, complemented by further training courses and area-specific training. All of our vehicles are professionally maintained and are comprehensively insured. We are independent of any firm of estate agents, and register client's requirements with all possible sources of suitable property.

Our advice is completely impartial and we always act solely in our corporate client's best interests. We do not accept any commission from estate agents. Client's moneys are kept in a separate client account.

We are members of CBI-ERC, the Confederation of British Industry Employee Relocation Council, and of US-ERC, the equivalent US organisation based in Washington, DC.

What's Included In Our Home Search Programmes

Our programmes are designed to operate on an all-inclusive basis. We include the services of an experienced relocation counsellor and support staff for an agreed number of hours work, and an allowance for vehicle mileage. Our vehicles are normal family saloons that can comfortably accommodate four passengers, including the driver, and for work with larger groups, we also have a Chrysler Grand Voyager that can accommodate up to six passengers. We include an information pack as detailed on the programme specification sheet.

For all Home Searches, we provide an on-going care and telephone support service for as long as the family may need it. As we would like to emphasis the value of good quality information, all expatriates receive a free first year subscription to FOCUS, the expatriate support group whom we sponsor.

As the counselling and information services provided prior to acceptance of a move are not subject to the UK limit on tax-free allowances, we can invoice separately for this part of the programme if required.

What's Not Included In Our Home Search Programmes

We can't include the cost of variable client disbursements such as legal fees, couriers, or contract and check in fees payable to a letting agent. We also don't include the cost of meals during a Home Search (but our counsellors make their own arrangements).
