In this section, we're reviewing those desirable housing locations that are just outside the M25 ring. The term "Green Belt" refers to a highly successful planning (zoning) policy that dates from the 1950s, and that was put in place to prevent the outward spread of the built-up area of London and its suburbs. We're only going into detail in those areas that we think are WORTH looking at. Most of these locations offer easy access both to central London, and to the main UK motorway network. Many also have good commuter links into Central London, and reasonable access to one or more airports for business and leisure travel.
