    Selecting A Removal Company

If you choose to use The Relocation Bureau's relocation services we will obtain two or three removal quotations, either in accordance with your instructions, or as defined by your company's relocation policy. 

For international moves we will only use removal companies who are accredited members of FIDI. For moves within the UK we will only use removal companies who are accredited members of BAR. See our section on Professional Associations for more information about the removal industry.

When asked to provide a quotation, the removal company will contact you directly to arrange a mutually convenient date to visit you. If you haven't already done so, check out our notes on Preparing For Your Removal Survey.

During the survey visit, a surveyor will estimate the volume and weight of your shipment, and this forms the basis of the quotation. If we're organising the move for you, we will summarise the quotations and then forward them to you or to your company for selection of an approved supplier.

We will inform your chosen supplier and ask them to liaise directly with you to arrange the removal dates. 

The removal company will provide all customs and insurance documentation for you to complete and return to them.
