Information PacksKnowledge is King. The more that a family can learn about the place that they are going to be moving to, then the less uncertainty, and the less stress they will experience. Careful planning, effective counselling and high quality information can create a positive approach to an otherwise possibly unpopular move. Our pre-move course is of particular benefit to expatriates moving to the UK for the first time, and can be taken prior to an area orientation tour, as part of a six day Home Search programme. For employees moving to other countries, we can arrange pre-move counselling either in the UK, or at their new location as part of an initial visit. With adequate advance notice, we can tailor an orientation tour so that a family's specific needs are addressed as thoroughly as possible. Within London, our orientation tours generally concentrate on the main downtown area, and on specific housing areas, such as St Johns Wood, and Kensington and Chelsea. Outside of London, we aim to completely cover a ten mile circle around the new work location within a morning or afternoon driving tour. Where the spouse is working in London, but the family living out of town, we tailor our tour to suit. Our
information packs are individually assembled to meet the needs of
the user. We have a publications database which lists almost a thousand
maps, guides, leaflets and reference works on the South East region
of the UK. Our regional offices have similar local databases, and
in addition we use the resources of expatriate support groups, such
as FOCUS, whom we sponsor, to answer specific queries from expatriates. Much
of our information is now available ONLINE, on this web site, in
the section title Essential
Information About The UK. To access this area you'll need to

a User ID and Password. Unlimited use of this information area is
included with every Home Search. Standard Pack Contents
