Serviced Temporary Accommodation

Serviced Temporary Accommodation

Most large cities now have a choice of short stay corporate housing, and we routinely source this for transferees. Most studio apartments are priced to compete with local hotels, with one bed units comprising a lounge, kitchen, double bedroom and bathroom going for a small premium. They can be a real cost saver on hotels – the provision of a full kitchen, and a washer / dryer, can save on per diem allowances and laundry bills. For staff on temporary assignment or training, there’s the added benefit of more space, and no carting suitcases home every weekend.

We have discounted rate programmes in place with all the major suppliers, so why not let us source your serviced apartment needs? We know many of the buildings used by serviced apartment companies, and will happily advise on their suitability.

When searching for temporary housing, we find that it pays to start with a blank sheet of paper. Think of what facilities you’ll want, both within the apartment, and then also in the local area. Typically, we’d expect a high standard of fixtures, fittings and décor. A good apartment should always have high speed broadband, and we’d expect it to come with all appliances such as a fridge / freezer, oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, and washer / dryer. A top quality bed is essential, as is a good shower! In the local area, a choice of shops and some restaurants and take-aways are important, as is access to entertainment facilities. Public transport should be no more than a short walk away. Lastly, what special facilities might you need to request? A baby cot, or a highchair for example? Many companies can provide one for a small charge.

London serviced apartment prices have been rising, with the cheapest one bed apartments in the West End now running close to £150 per night. That’s a whopping £4500 plus VAT per month. In response to this, we’ve recently launched Wycombe Apartments, a new serviced apartment company based in High Wycombe. We now offer hotel quality one bedroom apartments within a three minute walk of High Wycombe station – just 22 minutes from London Marylebone. The apartments are fully equipped, come with free high speed WiFi, and include a weekly clean and linen change. Our base rate is just £79 per night plus VAT, coming within the £2500 per month budget used by many companies as a monthly allowance for temporary housing.
